Resume and repair is not possible.
You'll have to wait for release 0.6.0 for that.

Actually, it doesn't take hundreds of lines of code.
It is however time-consuming to carefully add this to existing code
that never bothered about this before.
Plus, the original implementation is simple.
This become more complex both internally as externally by having these recovery options.

Is this still the case?
I removed a download i had in order to move the Incomplete directory to a different drive, as i had no space on the OS drive. (and since the app never asked me where to save to begin with)
Now i moved it to a different drive with ample space, but it still won't recognize the download if i add the same NZB.
Anything i can do to trick it to read the files again?

No, you still have to wait for release 0.6.0.
It's currently being tested by a limited group.

I wouldn't mind helping with that, being a software developer for a living myself.
Anyway, I followed the FAQ on the wiki, and used QuickPar to verify my incomplete files, moved the finished parts to the side and removed them from the re-imported NZB in the client.
This effectively had it downloading only the parts i was missing, and kept my already downloaded parts.
So all in all, I'm quite pleased with the client so far
