Until i switched to Giganews, i was using News groups and torrents to fill my lecherous ways.

With the Premium unlimited account, i dont use anything else anymore.

I've used Easynews, Usenext, and for price V capacity, Giganews wins.

I constantly get 700kps on my link (using SSL) on an 8mb link.
High retention, completion and reliability = win

More Giganews fellating over here.  I've got 12Mb cable and I pull 1.6MB/s solid.  I use the Giganews Accelerator to get SSL to the mothership.  Retention is outrageously long and they keep a really nifty monthly stats page so you can brag in an educated fashion about the exorbitant amount of data you moved last month.  I had UseNetServer previously and one or two outages in I decided I'd just pay the piper.  Is Giganews a little more?  Yep.  Worth every red cent, they've never failed me.

I am using : UseNetServer

Works perfect for me.
Getting great speed , have 20 Mbit  getting like 1600 - 1700.
But I normally restrict it to 1000 , as I want to play games also

101 days retention, so taht always helps me.
And if it's to old // well I just request it to be posted again  :P

ANd another good thing, this can be used on more IP's at the same time, so you can share the cost with a good friend if you like

Giganews all the way.

At first I used Easynews. Loved the web-interface. But since the dawn of NZB's and Newzbin, there's realy no more need for it. That, and their retention collapsed. I've dabbled a bit with one of the many many Dutch usenet providers, I have Tweaknews at the moment, still a couple of months left on it, but since Newzbin upped their database to reflect the 200 days retention of Giganews, that's where I went.

Great retention. Great speed. Good service. Might be a tad expensive, but with the $ crashing, it's getting cheaper every month :p

Giganews 25usd/month
They might be the most expensive - but there are never any issues, 200days retention, 10 connections, servers in both europe and the US..
Been a customer for years now, previously I used Newshosting, they were pretty unreliable at that time.

Newshosting, I don't really need SSL, fills approx 1200KB/s, 60 days retention is enough for me, $14 a month.

hitnews kicks ass, €6.50 per month unlimited, with retention about 40 days and growing (it reckons its 100 but not so).  Still at that price you can't complain.

another vote for usenet server.  good retention (100+), good speeds (max out my 5Mbps fios connection), great price.

Usenetserver, fairly good speeds (30Mbps out of my 100Mbps), ssl and helpful support. If someone else has a provider with better speeds i gladly change..
EDIT: Switched to Usenet-News.com and are reaching 50Mbps from their EU server (19$/month 20 connections, ssl, unlimted DL)..
:D
