Verify on the fly
Verify on the fly
Rather than wait for the entire item to be dloaded before verification to start, why can't SAB simply verify the .rars one by one as they are completed (assuming the .par is downloaded 1st) Many other programs do it in this order/fashion. Maybe I am missing something?
Re: Verify on the fly
We're already doing this, it's the "QuickCheck" feature, been around since 0.5.

Re: Verify on the fly
wait
I have this checked:
Enable Quick Check
Skip par2 checking when files are 100% valid.
IT still doesn't check though until everything is dloaded. Once every file is dloaded, it verifies, then if pars are needed gets the pars, rechecks. repairs, then unpacks.

Re: Verify on the fly
No, you don't understand how it works.
SABnzbd does an on-the-fly check and if everything is OK it starts unpacking.
When the verification fails, par2 is run which needs to do its own verification,
telling SABnzbd how many blocks are missing.
This works find if you have a) reliable NZB files and b) a good Usenet provider.
Of my own downloads about 80% are complete and don't require repairs.
