date sorting - add season/ep?

Is it possible to add a feature to date sorting that would put a season/ep # in based on thetvdb.com? For example, if you had a file named "Daily Show - 2010.01.04.avi", I would want it to be renamed to "Daily Show - s15e01.avi".
Unfortunately, these date-named shows don't have a season/ep in the file name, so would have to involve some sort of communication with the thetvdb.com to compare the date to the season/ep.
