easynews and nzb's

Post by dc2447 »

I am using sab against my ISPs neewsserver with nzb's from binsearch.  I am delighted with the results.

I am interested in using easynews unlimited nttp access as a backup.

My question: easynews carries more newsgroups than binsearch seems to index.  I can search for content on easynews web interface that I can't find via binsearch.  Is there a way to get nzb's from easynews web based search?

easynews is a Usenet provider not a search engine.
Binsearch has an option to seach in less popular groups.
There are also quite a few other search engines and spotting sites.

Easynews is technically both, but they don't generate NZBs to my knowledge. They offer a web-based frontend to their news service.

They can generate NZB, but it's a user initiated action, not automagic like an indexing site.

I don't see an option in binsearch to search less popular groups, only to specify a specific group, that would mean searching would be intterative and very time consuming

Just above the Search button in Basic Search there is an option to search in the most popular groups or in other groups. Unfortunately, you can't do both at the same time.
