Save in root directory w/ no 'junk'

Post by DingHo »

Hello,
Sorry if this is a noob question but I've just made the switch to SABNZBD.

Currently SABnzbd is saving each download in an individual directory (ie. D:\SimpsonsS01E01...) containing the video file and some 'junk' (sfv, nfo, ...).

I'd like the video files only to be saved in the root and the rest of the 'junk' deleted.

Is it possible w/ SABNZBD? Do I need a post-processing script? (if so can someone point me there?)

Appreciate any help!!!

Use the cleanup list, see: http://wiki.sabnzbd.org/configure-general-v2 (bottom).
Use Sorting functions: see: http://wiki.sabnzbd.org/configure-sorting

To delete files :

Go to : /config/general/
Fill in all extension you want to have deleted in the field called :  Cleanup List:

With root you mean you want to have it saved into D:/  ??
Have a look at : config/sorting/
You can sort per categorie , and also with no folders

Remember that if for some reason 2 files are exactly named the same , that they will be overwriten !

Still not quite working...

It's successfully deleting the 'junk' files (sfv, srr, nfo...), but the video file is staying in the directory.

For example, if I get simpsons 101.avi it will stay in D:\Simpsons 101\simpsons 101.avi when I want it to be in D:\simpsons 101.avi with no directory remaining.

My settings under sorting are:
Generic Sorting
Enable Movie Sorting (check)
Keep loose downloads in extra folders  (no check) also tried it checked
Affected categories (none)  i have none defined
Sort String: %title (%y).%ext
Multi-part label:  CD%1

Any other suggestions?

Thanks

You need to define the categories that need to be affected
So if you want all movies to go into D:/  >>> Highlight movies

None means nothing will get sorted , so normal behaviour is used !!

Still not working...

I defined a category "all" and left everything at default.
Then under sorting, I have affected categories set to "all".  I've tried w/ both Keep loose downloads in extra folders  checked/unchecked.  The video still gets upacked in a directory.

Thanks for your continued help guys!

If I am correct making a category called ALL is not the solution (only is when you have all downloads also set to category ALL)

See below my screen shot of how the setting needs to be :

Image

HOLD CTRL and select al the categories , except NONE
Set sort string to : %title (%y).%ext
Mark : Enable Movie Sorting

Do NOT mark : Keep loose downloads in extra folders

I got it working.

What I still needed to do was under RSS, within my NZBMatrix feed, define * as category all.  Then it started working no problem.

Once again thanks for the help bro!  Your last reply made me realize "all" hadn't been properly defined.
