Hi, I have a remote ubuntu server in Germany and want to install Sabnzbd on there and access it through the webui on my home pc.
Anyone know of a good guide for a newb to accomplish this? Any help would be great.
Thanks.

Just install it on your server
Set sabnzbd to listen on the IP of the server
Open the port sabnzbd listens on
@home : go to http://ip:portof sab .. and you are in.
IT's as simple as that ... not to different from installing it on your home pc

awesome thank you.
and thank you for the super quick response!
it's running now... but where does the API fall in to all of this. I have a news subscription that I seem to have to associate their API with sab in order for it to get anything downloaded... but it looks like even though I have it check marked w/ a generated API on the host... I have no where to put it in as a security check on my remote? What is the point of that in regards to remote-access?

The API is used for third-party tools that extend automation.
Like browser plugins like nzbdStatus for Firefox.

I don't understand, which subscription is that?

Hey thanks for the replies, I found this:
http://www.usenetshack.com/install-setu ... jackalope/ before I checked back here and got it setup nicely. It says Karmic but it works on lucid aswell.
