I'm not sure how file association works on OSX.
SABnzbd does not register itself as an NZB handler on OSX (it can do that on Windows).
Normally you upload the NZb file from SABnzbd's WebUI or you copy the file into the Watched Folder.

Hi,
Since 0.5.x, SABnzbd registers as a nzb handler on OSX.
If you double click on a nzb file it should be opened with Sabnzbd.
Are you sure that your nzb is valid ?
What happen if you upload your nzb with the webui ?

Isn't this the cause of the problem?
You cannot have two apps being the default handler for NZB.

This should not be a problem, you can "Open With" and specify another soft to open.
What version of SABnzbd are you using ?

Do a "Get Info" on any .nzb file. Expand the "Open with" section, choose sabnzbd in the dropdown menu, then click the "Change All" button and it will make sab the default program for all nzb files forever until you change that setting again.

I assume you actually installed the app and just not running it straight from the dmg itself?
