Sabnzbd unable to move download to NAS drive

Hi Guys,

Hoping somebody here can help, I have just purchased a new NAS system (Synology DS410J) to extend my media storage options. Unfortunately Sabnzbd will not move my completed downloads to the specified location (dictated in categories) on the NAS.

I just receive an error stating "Failed making (path)"

I have tried using both the unc path as well as the mapped drive letter but both fail
i.e.  \\NasBox\Media I\Tv    and  S:\Tv

I am able to manually copy to the NAS without any problems, guessing this is either a path/permission issue but would really appreciate some advice

Kind Regards
Tylor

I assume SABnzbd is running on a PC and not on the NAS itself?
If running on the PC, does it run under a user account that has permission
to write to the NAS?

Sab is running on a separate PC, I think it runs (the process that is) under the S"SYSTEM" user account.

I have setup both a user & system acount with read/write access on the NAS but sabnzbd refuses to copy to the NAS. After a little more reading I am now thinking that it may be a path issue and that Sab is not recognising the NAS share.

on another webite it suggested that Sab needs to see the "real" path on the NAS and not the share/UNC path
i.e. /volume1/Media I/TV

I have tried this but this simply creates a new directory on My C:

I am completely stumped!

After more testing I figures it out, when Sab is ran via the SYSTEM account is causes issues when copying to the NAS, when I run sab as my standard user account the file copy runs ok.
