I've had this problem for quite a while now and I wondered if somebody could help me resolve it.

Whenever i download something, my connection max's out at about 5.7mb/s but as soon as the download is about 99% complete, my download speed slows down to about 5kb/s and takes ages complete that 1%. ! I've tried different usenet providers, same problem.  I'm currently using the 0.6.0 beta but I had this issue with 0.5.6 as well.

Since i've eliminated the usenet provider, i wonder if something within sabnzbd could be causing it ?

The usual cause is that an article is missing and that one of the
servers refuses to tell whether it has it (or it just keeps timing out).
Do you have multiple servers? Short server timeout?

How is the option "only download from the top of the queue" in Config->Switches?
