Hey there
It would be nice if it was possible to enable filedownload from the history page, usefull for remote machines, not so much if it runs on localhost. Maybe as an option to enable/disable file dl.

Similar questions have been asked before.
We will not extend SABnzbd to be a file manager.
There are plenty of alternative solutions.
BTW: SABnzbd may not even know where the files are after
a user script has run.

I'm not really sure what the OP means with 'enable filedownload from the history page',
but my interpretation is that you can re-download the entry in the history with the nzb that was used,
which is something I'd like to see as well :p

Re-download?
Don't you mean retry a failed job? You can already do that.
Once the job is finished successfully, the NZB is no longer available.

Well yes even when the job was successfully finished I'd like to be able to re-add it to the queue, but I guess that that's another small unwanted feature.
Pretty much offtopic but:
I've read a comment about SAB being more an automation program then a interactive program with a user friendly interface (which you can then usually customize).
Is there somewhere I can read about what you're still having in mind for SAB ?

Mostly quality improvement, reliability, memory usage,
gradual improvement of existing features.
Don't expect dramatic new features for some time.

I ment downloading the finished files from the box where sabnzbd runs to my desktop.
Sure there are options, sshfs/ftp/scp/apache/whatever but it would be way more convenient if there was an option to simply click "dl" and my browser downloads the file(s) to my desktop.
Anyhow, i appreciate the definitiv answer, so i can look for other convenient options to get my files to my desktop.
