Support for LCDs

I currently use lcdproc under Ubuntu to output stats to a little 4 x 20 char LCD in my 5.25" bay. Would be great if it could also output some stats from Sabnzbd.

That's for a third-party to develop, using SABnzbd's API.
It's definitely not something that will be implemented in SABnzbd itself.
