Hello everyboy,
first of all thx for this nice tool, this is my first post here.
I have a htpc with 3 WD20EARS Sata with 2 TB each running.
When sabnzbd starts downloading, after some time, my drive where i download to disappears. It simply is gone, all the downloads fail. Only when i reboot the drive comes back up. I dont know if this is a sabnzbd problem or my drive, but this only happens when i use sabnzbd and i have no clue what to do
Do you guys have any idea or tip for me? Thank you so much!
Of course i have already updated all my drivers. I use Win 7 32 edition.
Greetings

Re: sabnzbd crashes my hard drive
It sounds like a problem with your drives or your Windows install and not something with sabnzbd - the program is simply saving files to the disk as any other would. Unless you can access the drives from Windows, it really isn't sabnzbd's fault your drives got dismounted. I'm not aware of any bugs which would cause that under normal circumstances. I'm guessing you're using some sort of RAID or spanning disk configuration; Do you have a controller that might be the culprit?
Re: sabnzbd crashes my hard drive
Ok, that is what i was thinking, too.
But i have no Raid or whatsoever And it happens only with sabnzbd. Perhaps anyone has an idea whtat i can try
Thx for your help

Re: sabnzbd crashes my hard drive
You don't have any array setup...so you have 3 drives with individual drive letters? (D:, E:, F: for example) Which drive fails? If you change sab to a different drive, does that one die on you as well?drknickel wrote:But i have no Raid or whatsoever And it happens only with sabnzbd. Perhaps anyone has an idea whtat i can try
Re: sabnzbd crashes my hard drive
For obvious reasons, SABnzbd can put quite a load on the disk.
One way to alleviate this is to set an article cache in Config->General.
This will reduce the large amount of small temporary files written to disk.
