Today received this for the first time. Looked in log file and it told something about "=> missing from all servers, discarding" and "13560 articles were missing". It downloaded few gigabytes but dropped them it seems.

What is wrong?

Are the messages not clear enough? The articles you're requesting aren't available on your server. One of several things may have happened:

1) The articles never made it to the server in the first place (rare, but it can happen, due to how Usenet is structured)
2) The articles made it to your server, but they're old enough that the articles expired (hosts only maintain a set number of days of retention. Once they hit a certain age articles are deleted to make room for new content)
3) The articles made it to your server, but many of them were intentionally deleted per a DMCA complaint (this may be common, depending on your host and what you're trying to download)

What host are you with, and how old was the post?

748 days is quite a challenge for most Usenet providers.

So it's a surprise that you got any files at all.
They also almost collapsed under the weight of their "free accounts" promotion.
