Hello,
I use sabnzbd 0.4.2, I have a problem with post processing when files unrared contain special characters like é è à .... In fact if I want to show files on a smb share where files are unrared I can't play them. I must go on telnet in my nas to rename manually files.
I use a synology nas cs406.
and sabnzbd is installed as a deamon.
Thank for your help.
Regards.

Is this a sabnzbd problem (such as the rar's not unpacking) or will the files simply not play? What software are you using to try and play the files?
To be honest it sounds more like the software does not support special characters rather than a sabnzbd issue.

I can confirm that I do not have any issues unpacking and downloading with sabnzbd with accented characters, I use sabnzbd everyday.

Thanks

Hi, I'm also french
and I use Sabnzbd 0.4.2 on a HP MediaSmart Server with Windows Home Server. You will see in Plush interface that Sabnzbd will display a scare instead of the accented character (should I report it as a bug?) but in fact it doesn't affect the downloading and unpacking process.

Today, I fully reinstalled sabnzbd with the package 0.4.2.1. I reinstalled my nas bootstrap too (ppc synology cs406).
So now sabnzbd runs with 2.5 version of python (previously with 2.4) ... all is ok but I have the same problem with special characters..
In fact files seems to be ok on telnet , showed with correct special characters (I have just one doubt because I have files with ? instead of é) but on my smb share where the files are I have square instead of é, à, é ... so files are not correctly viewable with windows share so I can't run them. So I have to rename them with telnet to replace special characters with standard and after this operation, files are correctly viewable on smb share and I can run them.
Do you know where can be my problem ?
Thanks.
excuse me, i'm french so my english language is not perfect ..
